A little confession

Some people were basically raised as motoring enthousiasts. They had miniature car collections as a kid and went to every event. I was not like that. I did not even like cars or bikes at all. I remember my mom asking me if I ever wanted to have a motorcycle and I said never. Boy what was I wrong back then. It started with getting my car license. I immediately fell in love with driving, and therefore with cars. I soon started to recognize cars and look interesting ones up on the internet. Then I went on a holiday to the phillipines. We rented some scooters there. I had never ridden anything like that before besides my bicycle. I loved it. Overnight I decided to get my motorcycle license as soon as I'd be back home. And so I did! Ever since I m hooked. I've got the motoring bug. On this page I'll share some of my experiences and adventures on the road. I hope you enjoy the read!

Nürnburgring, here I come!

After the Eifel trip I promised a friend who lives near that region to pay him a visit. So the day after I came home, I actually jumped back on the bike and rode back to Germany. This time on my own. On my way to said friend the route took me past the Nürnburgring which I've always wanted to have a go at. I got there at half past five and got a ticket. Now I only had to wait 45 minutes for the track to open...

My first lap of the 'ring

Finally, the track opened. I queued up and went to the entrance... The barrier opened and off I went! At first I was pretty nervous about all the cars, but after a few minutes I felt alright. After gaining more confidence I started to enjoy it more and more. At the end of the lap I was both ecstatic and somewhat relieved at the same time. I survived! And it was so much fun! I will definately come back!

Slip and drift training at Slotemakers

This time I went to Slotemakers near zandvoort circuit for a slip and drift training with a friend of mine. It was lots of fun and very educational. We learned a lot about grip, steering and throttle control.

Hotlaps in the Bleekemolen Clio Cup Car

After a morning of slipping and drifting we went to check out the Circuit. It just so happens that an uncle of the friend that came along worked there as a driver. He took us out for some Hotlaps in a Renault Clio Cup Car. Overtaking Lamborghinis in such a tiny car on full slicks was just an epic experience and a fitting end to a great day!
